When I was eight, I was off school sick. My mom put on the film The Abyss and it blew my tiny mind. I always loved film but for the first time, I thought ‘How does this end up happening?’ I asked my Mom and she said she would take me to the library and we’d find a book on how films are made.

I made a miraculous recovery almost instantly.

I ended up going to film school and then, not having a financial fallback, going straight into the world of commercial, which I love. But narrative film has always been my ultimate passion. In 2022 I decided I could finally take my foot off the pedal and indulge the idea of following my dream.

My most recent film won the global competition, the SONY Future Filmmaker Awards and as part of that I attended a lab in LA.

Off the back of this I’m developing two feature films. One of them being The Abyss 2.
